Sculpture vase

I made this sculpture vase from a piece of American red sequoia, it takes the name "caldera". The wood has been turned, burned and then carved, reveals what happens regularly and incessantly under the earth's crust.

The red color stands out in the centre of the vase, revealing the beautiful wood grain. The finish was apply by hand with shellac
