Pear and burl wood box

This beautiful pear wood box with malachite inlay, encloses in its shape the typical simplicity of Japanese design. The cover is made with asymmetrical fragments of thuya burl and the spaces filled with ebony powder from Gabon. The body was finished in satin lacquer and the lid in glossy lacquer.
