Pear and porphyry box

This beautiful pear wood box with malachite inlay, encloses in its shape the typical simplicity of Japanese design. The cover is made with asymmetrical fragments of ebony and the spaces filled with red porphyry powder from Trentino. The body was finished in satin lacquer and the lid in glossy lacquer.
